This program seeks to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, ensuring that new engineers are well-prepared to meet industry demands.
The Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) offers the Graduate Engineers Training (GET) Program, also known as the Trainee Engineers Program, designed to provide fresh engineering graduates with practical, on-the-job experience. This initiative aims to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and industry practices, enhancing employability and professional competence.
Under the "Smart PEC" initiative, the council has launched several digital tools and platforms, including:
1. PEC Live Mobile App
2. Digital E-Card for Engineers
3. Pakistan’s First Digital Engineering Map
This strategic plan focuses on the development of engineering infrastructure and capacity in the Balochistan region. Key objectives include establishing engineering support centers, enhancing technical education, and promoting sustainable development projects to uplift the province's socio-economic status
The Brain Gain Portal connects overseas Pakistani engineers with local opportunities. It aims to reverse brain drain by utilizing global talent for national growth. Engineers abroad can contribute to projects, mentoring, and innovation in Pakistan. PEC facilitates meaningful engagement with the diaspora engineering community.
This interactive map showcases key engineering projects and infrastructure nationwide. It offers real-time data for planners, policymakers, and the public. The tool enhances visibility, transparency, and national engineering insights. It’s part of PEC’s vision to digitize engineering intelligence across Pakistan.
